A total of 511 social audits have been conducted for the period 01 January to 30 September 2020.

With the launch of MySIZA, SIZA members have been able to schedule Environmental Third-Party audits from the 1st of June 2020.

After the restrictions of the nationwide lockdown under Alert Level 5 were lifted, Environmental Second-Party Verifications continued in full-swing from the 1st of May 2020.

As the Lockdown period in South Africa resulted in many children not being able to return to school, but parents were set to return, the influx of children in the workplace became a reality.

In any business, regardless of size, there needs to be a mechanism through which workers or members of lower/middle management can raise their concerns to more senior managers.

A total of ten (10) Social audit disputes were logged with SIZA from January to June 2020.

Four (4) critical findings were reported for the months of January 2020 to June 2020.

The 2020 year confirmed SIZA’s prediction relating to an increase in Social audits.
