Farming with nature, rather than against it, helps maintain soil fertility, conserve water, and reduce the need for chemical inputs, which can harm both the environment and human health. Sustainable practices, such as crop rotation, organic farming, and using natural predators for pest control, foster biodiversity and resilience in the face of climate change.
Since SIZA was formalised in 2016 as a free-standing membership-based NPC, we have seen exponential growth within SIZA and our primary members’ journey to compliance.
Since 2015, a total of 4498 third-party audits have been conducted. Out of the total third-party audits conducted from 2015 until 2023, 46 023 findings were raised during audits as one audit can contain multiple findings.
SIZA has heard and recognised retailers’ and buyers’ need for a cost-effective and streamlined monitoring programme to evaluate and monitor their supply chains and, therefore has incorporated a digital recordkeeping traceability functionality as part of the well-established MySIZA platform.
