Environmental Compliance Training
In-Person & Online WebinarsSIZA offers compliance training on the requirements of the Environmental Standard through interactive webinars and in-person training. The SIZA Environmental Compliance training focuses on implementing environmental practices relevant to producers, packhouses, and processing facilities in South Africa. The training addresses the minimum legal requirements and globally recognised good ecological practices across the four cornerstones of the environment: soil, water, energy, materials, and waste, as well as biodiversity and ecosystems.
Environmental Legislation Training
In-Person & Online WebinarsThe SIZA Environmental Standard is based on South African environmental legislation and aims to assist agricultural producers with understanding the requirements of South African environmental laws that are relevant within the agricultural context. It is, therefore, important that SIZA members maintain a good understanding of the environmental legislation that is relevant to their specific business.
SIZA recognised a need for such training and developed a course to assist with implementing environmental legislation relevant to producers, packhouses, and processing facilities. This training guides the legal requirements regarding soil development, water usage, waste and wastewater management, clearing invasive alien plants, animal ecology requirements and the SIZA environmental / LEAF Marque Bolt-on agreement. It is presented through interactive webinars, as well as in-person training. This training is supported by a guideline that is accessible in the Resources section of the MySIZA Platform.
