GRIEVANCE MECHANISM

SIZA provides a platform for interested stakeholders, agri-workers, management and other role-players to launch a grievance/complaint if and when a particular practice contravenes a SIZA Code Principle. Following the formal SIZA complaints procedure, the grievance and complaints can be resolved to provide the desired outcomes for all parties involved. This procedure provides a framework for open dialogue to take place within a mutually respectful manner through effective communication, and conflict management which forms the building blocks for the SIZA programme.

The SIZA programme further supports the foundation for an effective grievance procedure and has a complaints process available for any interested party (agri-worker, manager, supervisor or stakeholder, etc.) to launch a complaint directly with SIZA either in writing or via the SIZA hotline telephone number (086 1111 568). This procedure will allow for a formal investigation based on a completed complaint form. This procedure provides a framework for open dialogue to occur in a mutually respectful manner through effective communication and conflict management which forms the building blocks for the SIZA programme. For more information regarding this procedure, feel free to contact SIZA directly, or visit the website for more information: https://siza.co.za/document-library/social-library-complaints-procedure/

To lodge a grievance, please download the SIZA Social (Ethical) Complaints Application or the SIZA Environmental Complaints Application and email the completed form to admin@siza.co.za or phone the SIZA Helpline on 0861 111 568.
